Welcome the vibrant colors and crisp autumn air at Ford House’s annual Harvest Day! Nestled within the historic grounds, this beloved celebration invites you to enjoy a day full of seasonal delights and timeless traditions.

Savor fresh cider and donuts as you explore our bustling fall market, filled with unique goods from local vendors. Families can enjoy the petting zoo, and children can hop on a horse or pony ride and get creative with face painting. Test your skills with classic lawn games or take a leisurely stroll through the first floor of the Main Residence. Unwind with a refreshing drink in our beer garden in the charming Garage courtyard—perfect for adults to relax while soaking in the autumn atmosphere.

Guest Guide

Parking

  • Park in the Lake Shore lot across the street from Ford House. It opens at 11:30 a.m.
  • Police crossing guards and Ford House staff will help you cross the street safely. Please listen to their directions.
  • If you have an accessible parking placard, you can park at the Visitor Center by entering through the North Gate.
  • If you have dining reservations at The Continental, you may enter through the North Gate.

Getting to Harvest Day

  • Harvest Day vendors are lined up along the road that leads to the Main Residence.
  • Strollers and hand-pulled wagons are welcome, but you will be traversing varied terrain, including gravel.
  • Shuttles are not available for this event.

Other Helpful Info

  • Concessions, including hot food, soft drinks, beer and wine, etc. will be available to buy starting at 12 p.m.
  • We kindly ask that you do not bring your own alcohol, as it is not permitted under our license.
  • Dogs are not allowed during Harvest Day except in the case of an ADA-compliant service dog,
  • Children must always stay with an adult, ensuring that they stay seated, do not climb trees, and stay off the berm at the water’s edge. Guests who are not in compliance will be asked to leave the estate.
  • Once the event ends, please quickly cross back to the parking lot so everyone can safely reach their vehicles.

Weather

  • We expect the weather to cooperate but encourage you to bring weather-appropriate gear as this event will take place rain or shine.
