Hispanic Heritage Awareness Celebration @ Detroit Historical Museum

Join us for a special day of programs and activities honoring Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month.

1:00 – 1:45 PM | Gallery of Culture
Students from Western International High School present exhibition panels featuring notable figures from the Hispanic community.

1:00 – 2:00 PM | Depot
Arts and crafts activities for all ages.

2:00 – 3:15 PM | Booth Auditorium
A staff member from the office of Councilwoman Gabriela Santiago-Romero will open the program by reading this year’s Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month Resolution. This will be followed by an informational talk and conversation with a third-generation Detroiter from Mexicantown. A student band will also perform as part of the educational programming.

3:30 – 4:15 PM | Gallery of Culture
Students from Western International High School present their exhibition panels once again.

3:30 – 4:45 PM | Depot
Arts and crafts activities continue.
