Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2025 Celebration @ Hart Plaza
For the first time in 3 decades the City of Waawiyatanong (Detroit) will be hosting an Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration on October 13, 2025 from 12:00-6:00pm at Hart Plaza!
Come hear from notable Indigenous leaders, witness dance and drum exhibitions, enjoy food and craft vendors, and celebrate the pride and joy of Waawiyatanong/Detroit’s native heritage.
Partners include North American Indian Association of Detroit, Detroit Indigenous Peoples Alliance – DIPA, American Indian Health and Family Services, South Eastern Michigan Indians, Detroit Civil Rights, Inclusion and Opportunity Department, and #TeamGSR.
