Mother Trees: Mother’s Sharing Circle, Facilitated by Dr. Miriam Engstrom, PsyD, LP Psychologist & Clinical Director
Join us in the garden to share, listen, and connect with other mothers in all stages of parenthood. This is an open, confidential, judgement-free space to take a deep breath, be guided by skilled circle facilitator, Dr. Engstrom, and leave feeling refreshed, supported, and a little lighter. Children are welcome, and while no childcare is provided, the space is fully fenced-in, and they are free to run or snuggle up next to you. Bring a blanket as we’ll be circling on the grass.
When: Friday, May 30 at 9:30-11:30am. Come for the full time or drop in whenever you can.
Where: The Memorial Garden outside of the Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church at 17150 Maumee Avenue, Grosse Pointe, MI
About Our Facilitator: Dr. Miriam Engstrom is a beacon of warmth and wisdom with more than three decades of experience. She is trained in a number of therapies, including Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person-Centered, and has additional training and certifications in bipolar disorders, substance abuse, DBT, crisis intervention, and is a certified EMDR Therapist with EMDRIA. Dr. Engstrom holds a specialist degree in Humanistic Psychology and Education, in her early career, she spent nearly a decade working with children and their families through play therapy and other modalities. Her dissertation research centered around the mother’s experience of parenting “gifted” children. She is the Clinical Director of Evolve Therapy Network located in downtown Grosse Pointe.
