Nature at Night: UV Gotta See This @ Belle Isle Nature Center
September 11, 2025 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Free

Join us for an illuminating evening as we explore biofluorescence — one of nature’s most fascinating hidden wonders. Under the glow of UV light, certain plants and animals reveal fluorescent patterns and colors invisible to the naked eye. Guest presenter Joseph Ferraro will share his stunning photography and insights during an engaging talk on the science and surprises of fluorescence in nature. Then, head outside for a guided night hike and see this phenomenon for yourself. You’ll explore the grounds of the Nature Center after dark, spotting glowing plants, insects, and other surprises along the way, hosted in partnership with Joseph Ferraro, of the Overlooked exhibit.
✨ Admission is free, and no registration is required.
