Pocket Forest Planting Day @ Kintsugi Village
On Sat, Sept 20 (10–2), we’ll be planting 1,100+ native trees + shrubs at Kintsugi Village, Corktown, creating a thriving 3,200 sq ft forest with the Miyawaki Method.
What to expect:
🌳 Plant a tree + leave your mark
🎶 Music, goats, and activities
💚 Be part of a day of community + care
Bring gloves and water if ya got them. The trees are very small and so this is completely accessible for people of all ages.
This project is part of Detroit’s Mobility Week because the future of cities isn’t just about moving people, but moving people + nature forward together.
📍 Kintsugi Village, 2020 14th St, Detroit (entrance to forest planting at 2029 Wabash, near Marantette)
