Celebrate Summer in Metro-Detroit’s Backyard
For many Metro-Detroit families, summertime means family fun on the lake — and at The War Memorial, that means SummerFest! Our annual summer fun series returns this year with family-friendly concerts, movies, and more on our lakefront lawn.
Concert Line-Up Free and Open to All!
All SummerFest events are open to everyone from everywhere! Bring your lawn chair, blanket, or enjoy the festival from your boat. Events are rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, outdoor concerts will take place in the War Memorial Ballroom. This year’s lineup includes musical performances by incredible local and national acts, the biggest movies of the year, and some special events that you won’t want to miss.

Devin is equally at home on your television, on your bookshelf, and on your iTunes. School children, teachers and parents know him as the writer behind the Memoirs series including Memoirs of a Goldfish, winner of the Wanda Gag Award as the nation’s best read aloud book. Television viewers in Michigan and Ontario know him as their evening news anchor on WDIV-TV, NBC in Detroit. And music lovers know him as the winner of the prestigious Detroit Music Award for Best Country Performer.
Devin Scillian, a renowned singer, songwriter, and television personality, is joined by the talented Arizona Son, creating a dynamic duo that brings raw emotion and storytelling to every song. Together, they’ll perform a mix of original tunes and timeless classics, weaving together captivating melodies and rich harmonies that will have you tapping your feet and singing along.
