Turtle Trek (Ages 5+) @ Lake St Clair Metropark Nature Center
Turtles are one of Southeastern Michigan’s most interesting residents. During this program you’ll learn about turtle’s life history, meet some of Michigan’s turtle species, and then learn to build a turtle nest protector to help some of Lake St. Clair Metropark’s turtle nests, keeping turtle eggs safe from hungry predators.
What to Expect:
This family-friendly program takes places indoors and outdoors. Participants will take a short, guided hike on compact gravel with plenty of time for exploration and questions. Hikes will be approximately 3/4 mile in length.
Ages: 5 and up.
Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center
Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
