Valade Park with the return of Winter at Valade. Join us in January and February to enjoy oversized fires\, sleds\, games\, drinks\, food\, and a full schedule of programs and events\, including the return of our signature themed weekends\, winter wellness activities\, and more! There is additional parking at the Stroh Riverplace Garage and nearby side streets. Ride to the Atwater or Jos Campou/Wright stop from any station along the route. More at this link.\n\nJoin us for special themed weekends!\nFire and Ice Festival – January 10-12 \nLunar New Year – February 14-16 \nFireside Fridays\nEach Friday from Jan 10 to Feb 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. guests can enjoy family friendly-fun featuring karaoke with Detroit’s own Karaoke Kingz\, classic and new board games\, and food and drink specials from Smokey G’s Smokehouse and the Valade Shed Bar.  Come back weekly for unique karaoke themes! While karaoke and games will take place inside the heated building at Valade\, be sure to explore the park for curling\, sledding\, and fire pits for roasting s’mores! \nSelf Care Sundays\nEach Sunday from Jan 12 to Feb 23 will feature free group fitness classes designed for the winter weather. The Polar Power Walk offers an upbeat\, cardio driven group walk along the Riverfront with stops for stretching and group movement. Dissect an owl pellet\, make owl themed crafts\, then go for a walk on our trails in search of our resident park owls. After our walk\, there will be a presentation on how to interact with and keep owls safe in wild spaces\, as well as how to provide owl-friendly habitats in your backyard. \nWhat to Expect:\nThis family-friendly program takes place indoors and outdoors. Participants will take a short\, guided outdoor hike on compact gravel trails with plenty of time for exploration and questions.
