DESCRIPTION:All participants ages 3-5 are invited to our Nature Play for Pre-K series\, exploring a different topic every month. This series is hands-on with a discovery focus. We will start with an introduction inside and then head outside to explore\, so please come dressed and prepared for the weather! \nWe may not always see who has visited our backyards and parks\, but we can investigate and figure out who has been there based on what they leave behind. This month\, join us as we investigate the many shapes and sizes of tracks and the animals that leave them behind. \nPreregistration is required. Included with the price of admission. Payment for children attending is made online at the time of registration. During this time\, the Zoo and its attractions remain open to all\, with thoughtful adjustments to ensure everyone can enjoy a welcoming and accessible experience. \nWhat to expect:\n\nReduced or altered volume and lighting throughout the Zoo and at special attractions\nLimited effects and adjusted lighting in the 4D Theater\nKultureCity sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones\, fidget tools and verbal cue cards will be available to guests who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. The nature center will supply a limited number of binoculars for use. \nWhat to Expect:\nThis program is entirely outdoors. Expect to walk about .5 mile on a flat\, paved surface. The planned path is grass or lawn\, mostly flat and level. We will meet at the nature center and walk to the eagle nest viewing spot on the bike-hike path. DESCRIPTION:All participants ages 3-5 are invited to our Nature Play for Pre-K series\, exploring a different topic every month. This series is hands-on with a discovery focus. We will start with an introduction inside and then head outside to explore\, so please come dressed and prepared for the weather. \nThis month\, we will go looking for the places animals live! On our walk through Milliken State Park\, we will keep our eyes open for squirrel and bird nests and other evidence of animal homes. \nPreregistration is required. Included with the price of admission. Payment for children attending is made online at the time of registration.
