SUMMARY:Second Annual Pancake Brunch Fundraiser @ Buffalo Prescott
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us for our Second Annual Pancake Brunch Fundraiser. We all love a good pancake. Fluffy\, buttery\, syrupy\, and warm. A familiar way to come together\, to invest in the creative infrastructure of our community. \nSince our first Pancake Brunch we have provided studio spaces for super talented local artists\, opened two exhibitions\, taken the Casual Safe harm reduction program to the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) art fair in Miami then brought it back home with our first free vending machine launched at Dreamtroit. We’ve hosted artist talks\, lectures\, held community workshops\, and so much more. None of which would have been possible without the contributions we have received from our friends and supporters. \nSo join us. Eat with us. Help us nurture a creative ecosystem rooted in care\, interdependence\, and the belief that everyone deserves the time\, tools\, and space to create. \nImage Source

SUMMARY:HORSE: A Game for Everyone @ 1001 Woodward
DESCRIPTION:Library Street Collective is excited to announce HORSE: A Game for Everyone by artist Tyrrell Winston\, supported by Bedrock Detroit. Opening to the public on August 1\, 2025\, this dynamic installation transforms the boundaries between sport\, art\, and community participation. \nHORSE reimagines the basketball court as a site of creativity\, memory\, and public engagement. Inspired by Winston’s signature use of found and culturally charged materials\, this interactive experience invites visitors to engage with art through motion\, reflection\, and play. Central to the installation is a sculptural “hoop tree” that reimagines the familiar form of the basketball hoop into a sprawling\, seven-armed tree supporting 21 hoops at varying heights\, angles\, and orientations. Part monument\, part playground\, the work invites direct engagement\, encouraging visitors to step into the space\, pick up a ball\, and play. \nImage Source

SUMMARY:E. Warrenfest @ 16835 E. Warren
DESCRIPTION:E. WarrenFest is a community-driven street festival that activates the East Warren corridor with live art installations\, musical performances\, culinary showcases\, and curated retail experiences. The festival embodies the mission of Detroit Month of Design and the Gilbert Family Foundation’s Arts & Culture Initiative by celebrating place-based creativity\, amplifying local talent\, and creating inclusive public spaces that reflect Detroit’s design legacy and community identity. \nE. WarrenFest turns a commercial street into a creative canvas\, aligning with Detroit Month of Design’s commitment to equity\, community impact\, and inclusive design by centering Detroit-based artists\, designers\, and small businesses—particularly Black and Brown entrepreneurs. \nThe festival also reflects the Gilbert Family Foundation’s focus on arts as a tool for neighborhood revitalization and economic opportunity. E. WarrenFest invests directly in local creatives\, provides paid opportunities for performance and exhibition\, and strengthens the cultural fabric of Detroit’s Eastside—a historically under-resourced area undergoing grassroots revitalization. \nIn short\, E. WarrenFest bridges design\, community\, and commerce—bringing together residents\, artists\, and small business owners to collectively shape the identity and future of their neighborhood through culture and creativity.
