DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Juneteenth with trivia and traditional foods that symbolize the resilience of Black Americans and the sacrifices they made during slavery. \nThe Emancipation Proclamation\, which took effect in 1863\, could not be enforced in areas still under Confederate control. As a result\, enslaved people in Texas\, the westernmost Confederate state\, remained in bondage for more than two years. The art environment has been thoughtfully set up to encourage the development of concentration and creativity. This is the perfect opportunity for toddlers to develop their fine motor skills\, experiment with patterns\, and learn about colors—all while working at their own pace and gaining a sense of accomplishment. \nFor the accompanying adult\, this class offers a unique chance to step back\, observe your child’s creative process\, and truly connect with them in a supportive\, mindful art-making environment.
