We will use our sense of touch to determine what mysterious features of some of our favorite “Halloween” wildlife are hidden within mystery buckets. \nWhose Bones?\nLet’s get scientific with skulls! Join us on an investigation of the skeletal parts of some of our favorite “Halloween” wildlife. Using calcified clues\, you’ll have a chance to determine whose bones are at our various skull stations. \nHarvest Fun\nJoin us for harvest-themed games. Gather your family and friends to play spider leg ring toss or enjoy some pumpkin tic-tac-toe! A variety of options will be available for drop-in harvest fun. \n1:30-3:30 p.m.:\nZombie Archery\nThis is your opportunity to give archery a try! For this seasonal session\, we will practice our skills on paper zombie targets. Participants will learn to safely handle a bow and shoot several arrows. Grab your hats and join us on a guided hike through our Wetland trail to immerse yourself with the changes that Autumn brings. Discuss topics such as how animals prepare for winter and why the leaves change color. Experience all the sights\, sounds and smells that fall can present! Afterwards\, join us for a tasty fall beverage. \nWhat to Expect: \nThis program takes place indoors and outdoors. Participants will take a short\, guided outdoor hike on compact gravel trails with plenty of time for exploration and questions. Hikes will vary in length from ½ to 1 mile.
