In each 30 minute interactive story time, we will examine the roots of Emergent Literacy development, as we follow the Ready to Read Michigan model, and Talk, Sing, Read, Write, and Play! Geared towards preschoolers, ages 2-5. *No session on March 27th and April 10.
This 30 min session allows your child to be silly with animal inspired creative movements! Dance instructor Tiffany will guide us as we slither like a snake, hop like a chinchilla, waddle like a turtle, leaping like a lizard and just get the sillies out! Each week, Children’s Library hosts 2 story times! Tuesdays @ 5pm Thursdays @ 11am We will have fun with some movement activities, read a few stories from our collection, and finish up with a craft the kiddos can take home. Enjoy twenty minutes of interactive stories, rhymes, and riddles followed by an engaging craft activity. This program is intended for children five and younger and their caregivers with no registration required. Family Storytime is held at 11 AM on Wednesdays, and repeats the next day, Thursday at 6 PM.
Please come with your baby to our drop-in mom’s group. Our group is relaxed, conversational, non-religious and free.
